Description / Role Overview

As the HR Manager, you will shape the people strategy in a fast-growing FMCG company launching new products. You’ll lead recruitment, culture, performance management, employee engagement, HR operations, and compliance. You’re not just a policy maker — you’re a strategic enabler, partnering with leadership and departments to ensure the right talent, environment, and processes power our growth.

You will be driving HR initiatives end-to-end: hiring, onboarding, training, performance, retention, and ensuring the HR engine supports a scaling organization.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute talent acquisition strategy — source, screen, and hire quality candidates across functions.
  • Lead onboarding, orientation, and induction programs to integrate new hires effectively.
  • Define and implement performance management systems: goal setting, appraisals, feedback cycles.
  • Create and maintain a strong organizational culture, employee engagement programs, internal communications, recognition systems.
  • Oversee HR operations & compliance: PF, ESI, labor laws, contracts, HR records, payroll interface

Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR / Business / Psychology or equivalent
  • 5+ years of HR experience, with at least 2+ years in managerial HR role (preferably in FMCG / manufacturing / operations)
  • Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws, PF, ESI, compliance norms
  • Excellent communication, emotional intelligence, conflict management, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in designing processes (recruitment, appraisal, HR systems) and driving change

Nice to have

  • Experience in scaling companies / startups / high growth organizations
  • Exposure to HR technology / HRMS / HR / PeopleSoft / SAP
  • Experience in organizational development, culture building, leadership development
  • Experience in performance coaching, mentorship, and leadership pipeline building
